Why iLease Capital

A broker who knows
trucks and freight.

Mileage and spec read correctly

A truck with 500,000 miles on a well-documented engine can be a better deal than a lower-mileage unit with an unknown history. We work with lenders who read mileage, engine hours, spec, and maintenance records the way the freight market actually does.

Owner-operator friendly

Getting a first truck financed as a new authority is where generic lenders flinch. We route owner-operator deals to lenders who underwrite the driver, the CDL history, and the freight plan, not just a thin business file.

Freight revenue understood

Trucking cash flow moves with lanes, fuel, and settlement timing. We match your deal to lenders who underwrite carriers and owner-operators, not lenders who treat a truck like any other asset.

Used is our sweet spot

Most trucks and trailers change hands in the used market. We work with lenders comfortable financing pre-owned units and know how to frame mileage, DOT history, and remaining service life.

Speed when a truck goes down

A parked truck earns nothing. We can structure fast decisions on replacement units so you stay under load.

Soft inquiry first

We start with a soft inquiry to review your profile. A full credit review may be part of final approval once you move forward with a lender.

Common Questions

Trucking Financing,
Answered.

Can I finance a truck as a new owner-operator or new authority?

Yes. New-authority and first-truck deals are common. Lenders look at your CDL and driving history, the freight plan, the down payment, and the truck itself as collateral. A strong personal profile and a well-specced unit go a long way when the business is young. Be upfront about your time under authority and your credit so we route you to the right lender the first time.

Can I finance a high-mileage used truck?

Often yes. What matters more than the odometer alone is engine make and rebuild history, maintenance records, DOT and inspection history, and remaining service life. A documented Cascadia, T680, or 579 with high but clean miles finances better than a lower-mileage truck with gaps in its history. We route these to lenders most experienced with used Class 8.

Do you finance trailers and reefer units separately from the truck?

Yes. Trailers, reefer units, and tractors can be financed separately or bundled. Dry van, flatbed, reefer, step deck, and lowboy trailers all qualify, and standalone reefer units can be financed on their own. Bundling a tractor and trailer into one package can simplify the deal and sometimes improve terms.

How does California emissions compliance affect financing?

Emissions rules affect which model years can run in certain states and which units hold value. Lenders factor compliance into resale assumptions, so a compliant truck is generally easier to finance and holds value better. We flag this early so you do not finance a unit you cannot run where you haul.

Can I do a sale-leaseback on trucks I already own?

Yes. Sale-leaseback is a useful capital tool for carriers with owned equipment. You sell qualifying units at a share of appraised value, receive a lump sum, and keep running every truck on your lanes. The cash can cover fuel, payroll, a down payment on more capacity, or a slow-season gap. We have lenders who underwrite transportation sale-leasebacks once we have a unit list and values.
