Finance the instrument
that runs your analysis.
LC-MS. GC-MS. ICP-MS. Orbitrap. We finance mass spectrometers with underwriters who know the difference between a triple-quad and an HRMS, and can explain it to a lender.
Analytical platforms we
know and finance.
LC-MS / LC-MS/MS
Triple-quad, Q-TOF, ion trap, hybrid platforms for clinical, pharma, food safety, environmental. Shimadzu, Waters, Agilent, Sciex. $80K to $600K.
GC-MS / GC-MS/MS
Single and triple quad for volatiles, cannabis, forensics, environmental, petrochemical. Agilent, Shimadzu, Thermo, LECO. $35K to $250K.
ICP-MS
Trace element analysis for environmental, geological, clinical, semiconductor labs. PerkinElmer NexION, Agilent 7800, Thermo iCAP RQ. $120K to $400K.
HRMS (Orbitrap, FT-ICR, TOF)
Metabolomics, proteomics, pharma R&D. Thermo Q Exactive, Bruker timsTOF, Waters Synapt. $300K to $1.5M+.
ICP-OES
Elemental analysis via optical emission. Agilent 5800, Thermo iCAP PRO, PerkinElmer Avio. $50K to $200K.
MALDI-TOF
Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization for proteomics and microbiology. Bruker, Shimadzu. $80K to $500K.
Ion Chromatography MS
Coupled IC-MS for trace anion and cation analysis in semiconductor and pharma.
Used & Refurbished Mass Spec
Certified refurbished from manufacturer, dealer, or rebuild. All condition grades financed.
Sample Prep & Automation
Autosamplers, SPE and digestion systems, ion sources, and liquid handlers that keep the instrument running.
Contract lab to research institution, we structure deals for both. Transactions from $30,000 to $5,000,000+. New, certified refurbished, and dealer-refurbished instruments all eligible.
A broker who actually
knows mass spec.
We see the instrument, not just the invoice.
Most lenders see a dollar amount. We see a Shimadzu LCMS-8060NX, a Waters Xevo TQ-S, or a Bruker timsTOF Pro. That instrument-level knowledge means faster approvals, better structures, and lenders who understand residual value on high-complexity analytical platforms.
Fluency that gets deals funded.
When you call iLease Capital, you're talking to someone who can discuss ionization sources, calibrant requirements, and maintenance contracts, not just payment terms.
Real lab operator experience
We've opened and operated both a high-throughput toxicology lab and a cannabis testing lab. We've sourced LC-MS triple quads, validated methods, and built compliant workflows. We've stood in the lab buyer's seat.
Used and refurbished is our sweet spot
The mass spec market lives in the used space. We work with lenders comfortable financing pre-owned instruments and know how to evaluate service history, source life, and remaining useful life.
Bundled soft costs
Service contracts, installation, data systems, and column budgets bundled into the financing at no rate premium. Soft costs up to 20 to 25% of equipment cost.
Soft pull, always
No impact to your credit score during evaluation. We run soft pulls only until you're ready to move forward.
Simple application.
Fast decision.
Apply online in about four minutes. Equipment type, approximate cost, basic business info. We run a soft pull, zero impact to your credit, and return pre-approval terms same day in most cases.
With 50+ lender relationships, we find the right fit for your deal. FMV lease, $1 buyout, term loan, or sale-leaseback on equipment you already own. We match the structure to your tax and cash-flow situation.
Terms up to 84 months. Decisions often within hours, not days.
Mass Spec Financing,
Answered.
Can I finance a refurbished or used mass spectrometer?
Yes. iLease Capital works with new, refurbished, and certified pre-owned analytical instruments at all age points. What matters more than the calendar year is service history, condition, and remaining useful life. We have placed deals on instruments well past the decade mark when the documentation supports it. We know which lenders are most receptive to pre-owned mass spec and position your deal accordingly.
Can soft costs like installation, service contracts, and software be bundled into the financing?
Yes, in most cases. Extended service agreements, CDS software licenses, autosamplers, nitrogen generators, and installation costs can be bundled into the financing at the same rate. This spreads the full cost of ownership over the lease term with near-zero cash outlay at signing.
What's the difference between an FMV lease and a $1 buyout for a mass spec?
A $1 buyout means you own the instrument at term end with full Section 179 deductibility. An FMV lease gives lower payments and flexibility to upgrade, return, or buy at fair market value. For platforms like LC-MS where the next generation arrives every 4 to 5 years, FMV often makes more financial sense. We walk through both before you decide.
How is iLease Capital different from manufacturer financing programs?
Manufacturer captive programs (Agilent Financial Solutions, Shimadzu Capital) only finance their own equipment at a single rate. iLease Capital is lender-agnostic. We shop 50+ lenders and routinely beat captive rates, especially on refurbished or multi-vendor configurations. We can also finance multiple vendors in a single transaction.
Does iLease Capital work with startup labs and early-stage companies?
Yes. Startups often require additional documentation: personal guarantees, first-and-last payments upfront, or smaller initial deal sizes. We have lenders who specialize in emerging company profiles. Be upfront about your stage and we'll find the best available path rather than wasting your time.
